Attorney Arlo Walsman is dedicated to community service and giving back to the community. His community service engagements are outlined below.
Mercy Home For Boys & Girls
Arlo sits on the associate board of the Mercy Home for Boys & Girls, a nonprofit in Chicago dedicated to helping children who have experienced trauma, abuse and neglect. As a member of the associate board, he works to raise awareness and money for Mercy. Arlo also served as volunteer boxer for Mercy’s annual fundraiser, Ringside for Mercy’s Sake, in 2016, 2017 and 2019. Finally, Arlo is most proud to have served as a volunteer mentor at Mercy from 2014 to 2019.

Youth Guidance
Arlo sits on the associate board of Youth Guidance, an organization in Chicago that provides counseling, community and after-school programs, and workforce and job development training to youth in Chicago.

National Lawyers Guild
Arlo is a member and volunteer of the National Lawyers Guild (NLG), a national group of lawyers dedicated to protecting human and civil rights. Through his volunteer work with the NLG, Arlo has accepted pro bono appointments to represent protesters charged with misdemeanors and ordinance violations.

Arlo accepts appointments from federal courts in Illinois to represent indigent clients in civil rights cases.
