On November 19, 2020, civil rights organizers filed suit against the City of Chicago alleging various violations of protestors’ constitutional rights during the protests over George Floyd’s death this summer. The suit, captioned Protesters in Support of Black Lives et al v. City of Chicago et al., names the City of Chicago and 22 police officers as defendants.
